Glide Agent is now available in Beta for all new Glide Teams. This means that every new team starting in Glide can immediately access our AI-powered assistant to speed up app creation. With Glide Agent, you don’t need to manually configure every screen or data schema—simply describe what you want in plain language, and the agent will generate the foundations of your app automatically. From structuring data tables to designing layouts, Glide Agent makes it faster and easier for anyone to prototype ideas and build custom apps.
- Improved Glide Agent chat experience with cleaner message display and more appropriate audio feedback.
- Added a new Glide API endpoint that allows developers to fetch a single row of data by its unique ID.
- Improved readability and visual consistency for QR codes in Glide Agent chat.
- Improved reliability when working with SQL databases that undergo schema changes.
- All links in Glide Agent chat messages now automatically open in new tabs.
- You can now upload Excel files (.xls, .xlsx, .xlsm) directly to the Glide Agent chat.
- The Glide Agent prompt box now features an improved file upload interface.
- Glide Agent now uses smarter default names when importing files.
- Apps created through the Glide API now have Google sign-in enabled by default.
- Resolved an issue that could cause you to be signed out with a “This app was opened in another tab” message.
- Resolved an issue where uploaded files with special characters in their names would generate broken download URLs.
- Tapping app tiles on mobile dashboards no longer opens new tabs, fixing the experience for users who added Glide to their iOS homescreen.
- Resolved an issue where the time interval selector (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) was disabled when viewing "all records" in Chart components.
- The Data Editor now uses updated accent colors to match Glide's current design system.
- Resolved a critical bug that was causing the Glide Builder to crash when Glide Agent features were disabled in certain configurations.
- When connecting SQL databases to Glide, time columns now display the correct data format.
- Interactive tools in Glide Agent conversations now display properly on mobile devices instead of being hidden.
