The new Glide Instagram account is an exciting new experiment for us. One we would love for you to follow with us.
My name is Jack Vaughan. I’ve been involved in education and video at Glide since the early years. Now, I’m leaning further into pushing the boundaries of our motion and brand design. I’m hoping to share that work with all of you on our new Instagram account.
If you love design, motion, the abstract, if you’re curious about Glide’s design language, or if you just want to get to know the people behind Glide—what we do, who we are, what we love—come and join us on Instagram. We’d love to tell you more of our story.
So...what can you expect? Well, we don’t know for sure, that’s sort of the point. But here are some of the things I’m really excited about:
New motion design techniques
One area I’m especially excited to explore is procedural animation. You may have seen hints of it in our Workflows launch video, but there’s so much more potential. Procedural motion isn’t just about style, it’s a way to explain or even just evoke complex computing concepts.
Below are some very early explorations. I don’t know how they’ll show up in the brand just yet... But I’m having a lot of fun learning new techniques and thinking of ways to bring it into Glide Video.
Deeper work in 3D
Alongside this, I want to push further with 3D, not just polished device renders but impressions, product viz, and new ways of reimagining how the product itself comes to life.

Design details
I want to take the tiny, hidden corners of Glide’s UI and blow them up large so you can feel them more directly. A lot of thought goes into our design language, both in the product and on the website, and too often it passes unnoticed. Here, I want to celebrate and highlight it.

The team
And it’s not only about the product. I also want to show you the people behind Glide, the team building, designing, and imagining what comes next. The sparks of creativity, the small moments, the human side of how we work.

Follow the Glide Instagram account
This account gives you a chance to catch a glimpse of something bigger than product updates: an idea moving, a mood forming, a spark that hints at where we’re headed.
Primarily, it will be our creative lab, a place to test ideas, explore design, share motion, and show process. What we learn here will flow back into our wider brand and identity.
I’ll be learning as I go. But in the process, my aim is simple: to share moments of beauty, clarity, or intrigue. If I’m asking for your attention, it should always be worth it.
