Recap

Welcome to our first Glide Next session of the year.

In this session we’re covering how to build automations in Glide with Workflows.

If you’re new to Glide, this is a great time to join the thousands of other teams building on Glide across industries including retail, manufacturing, real estate, and logistics.

Glide is your all-in-one platform for business operations.

Start by bringing your data in from existing sources, or build from scratch with a native Glide Tables database. Add custom layouts on top of your data with drag-and-drop interface components, professionally designed so they look and work great on any device.

Workflows complete the trifecta of Glide’s capabilities.

In the past, automation in Glide relied on 3rd party tools or user interaction. Now with Workflows, you can build powerful automations directly in Glide. Learn more in our announcement on the Glide blog.

The new Workflows editor should be familiar to longtime Glide users.

It replaces our Actions editor. Your app’s existing Workflows are listed on the left panel. Options and configuration settings are on the right. Your Workflow appears in the middle on an interactive canvas.

Every Workflow starts with a trigger.

You have four to choose from: Schedule, Email, Webhook, and App Interaction.

Each trigger can pass along data to use in your Workflow steps. For example, you can use Glide AI to categorize emails parsed by the Email trigger.

Once a Workflow is triggered, it proceeds through steps.

The bulk of a Workflow’s logic comes from its Actions, Loops, and Conditions.

Learn more about the available Workflow triggers and steps in our Glide Docs.

Workflows are now available for all Glide teams.

Teams on a Free plan can use App Interaction triggers.

Teams on a Maker or Business plan can use all available triggers, while teams on a legacy plan will need to upgrade to the latest Maker or Business plan.

Since every Enterprise plan is custom, teams on an Enterprise plan will need to contact their account manager or reach out to sales@heyglide.com
