Construction Manager

For general contractors: run every job site from the office while superintendents report from their phones.

Overview

Construction Manager is built for general contractors running several jobs at once. The office app gives project managers, safety officers and QA inspectors one view of every site. The Site Field App gives superintendents and foremen a phone-sized way to report from the job, signed with their own Glide account. Both apps share one database, so a report filed on site shows up in the office as soon as it is submitted.

The sample data is a Pacific Northwest contractor with nine jobs: three weeks of daily logs and crew counts, incidents, punch-list items, inspections and materials.

What you get

  • Every site at a glance: Site cards show open incidents, open defects, low-stock materials and the schedule in plain words ("36 days left", "48 days late"). Open a site for its daily logs, crew, incidents, defects and materials, and add or edit sites yourself.
  • Field reporting from a phone: Superintendents submit daily logs with crew counts by trade, report incidents and log defects, each with an optional photo taken on the spot.
  • Safety tracking: Severity levels from Near Miss to Fatality, and a status workflow from Open through Investigating to Closed.
  • Quality control: A punch list with due dates and overdue flags, plus QA/QC inspections with pass, pass-with-notes or fail results and sign-off.
  • Labor and materials: Headcount and hours by trade for each site and day. Stock levels flag items below their reorder point; mark an order placed, then log the delivery to put it back in stock.

About your data

This template stores incident reports that can name an injured worker and describe the injury. Glide's user data rules allow this kind of information only in private apps on a paid plan.

Glide turns spreadsheets into beautiful, intelligent apps.
