Overview
Timesheet Compliance Review checks time entries against the rules in your rule library and gives payroll reviewers and managers one queue to clear before a pay period closes.
What you get
- Automatic checks: when you create or edit a time entry, the app checks it against every active rule (meal periods, daily and weekly overtime, consecutive days, overlaps, rate-card mismatches, project codes, and approvals) and opens an exception for each problem it finds.
- Exception queue: filter exceptions by severity, status, and office. Open one to see the employee's week, the flagged entry, and the rule behind it, then resolve it with a note or reopen it.
- Approvals and pay periods: approve or reject pending entries, export a pay period to CSV, and attest the period once no open exceptions or pending entries are left.
- Rule library: add your own rules by choosing what each one checks and setting its threshold, severity, dates, and source note, then edit or switch off any rule. Re-run checks applies a rule change to entries in pay periods that aren't approved yet. The sample rules are examples to adapt to your own policies and jurisdictions, not legal advice.
- Staff: add employees and edit their details (role, office, department, hire date), or mark someone inactive. Inactive people drop out of the time entry form but keep their history.
- Audit trail: every change is logged with who made it and the values before and after.
- AI pay period brief: Generate Brief on the Pay Period Review page summarizes the period's exceptions, affected employees, and follow-up priorities from the app's data. It's a review aid, not legal advice.
