Overview

Who this is for

Independent salon owners and small multi-location teams who are tired of managing appointments in one tool, clients in another, and commissions on a spreadsheet. SalonOS is built around the rhythms of a real salon day — from the first booking to the last closeout.

What you get

Owner dashboard

Open the app to a 16:9 salon hero, four live KPI cards (month-to-date revenue, services completed, retail revenue, tips collected), a scrollable chair-schedule strip showing every today's appointment with client photo and status, and staff utilization bars. You see whether the day is on track before your first coffee.

Multi-location visibility

Every list, calendar, and report filters by location. Owners with two, three, or four sites can keep each one in focus without switching apps or tabs.

Appointments and booking pipeline

Book appointments in seconds — select location, client, stylist, and service; the end time fills automatically from the service duration. Each appointment tracks deposit status, service total, tip, retail add-ons, and ticket total. Mark completed or flag no-shows with one tap; status flows back to the dashboard and closeout log immediately.

Client history and rebooking

Every client profile holds full visit history, style preferences, allergy notes, and loyalty points. A rebook-status filter on the client directory surfaces who visited this month and hasn't scheduled again — the fastest path to filling next month's books.

Staff schedules and commissions

The team roster shows each stylist's role, location, commission rate, and monthly target. The staff detail page tracks month-to-date services, commission earned, and chair-utilization progress so payout conversations are grounded in real numbers.

Retail inventory

Product cards show stock levels, reorder thresholds, and a visual fill bar across every location. A low-stock alert banner calls out items that need reordering before you run out behind the chair. Edit quantities inline — no separate inventory system required.

Financial reports and daily closeout

The Reports screen surfaces daily revenue bars, a ranked service-mix list, and a closeout log with reconciled and open records per location. Every number ties back to individual appointments, so discrepancies are easy to trace.

AI feature: Draft rebooking note

On any client's detail page, tap Draft rebooking note. The app reads that client's recent visit dates, the services they received, their style preferences on file, and their loyalty-points history, then produces a concise, personalized follow-up message you can review, edit, and send.

This is not a generic chatbot. The note is scoped to that specific client — it references their last service, suggests a natural return window based on service type (balayage clients typically return in 12 weeks; color clients in 8; cut clients in 4–6), and closes with their preferred stylist's name. The result lives in an editable text area so you can adjust the tone before copying it to your messaging channel of choice.

If your organization runs low on AI credits, the app surfaces a clear message and links you to the Glide dashboard where you can buy extra credits or upgrade your plan — no guesswork about why the button stopped working.

Getting started

The template ships with four demo locations, eight stylists, twenty-four clients, and a full appointment history spanning the past 60 days and the next 30. Every person and product has a photoreal image. All demo data is live in the database and ready to explore — or replace with your own salon's information from day one.
