Overview

The pain OR teams live with every day

Surgical supply lists live on paper, in disconnected spreadsheets, or in staff memory. Teams discover shortages during picking, not before. Surgeon preference cards drift from reality after months without a review. When a case cart reaches the room missing an item, the team scrambles—and every minute counts.

OR Materials Hub replaces that fragmented workflow with a single, focused command center built for materials leads, circulators, and supply coordinators.

What the app covers

Case readiness command center. A live dashboard shows every case scheduled across the next seven days, color-coded by readiness state: Not Started, Picking, and Ready. KPI tiles surface items to pull today, open shortages, preference cards due for review, and expiring supplies—all updated in real time.

Case directory and detail. Browse all scheduled cases with search and filter by status, readiness, or surgeon. Each case detail page shows the assigned room, surgeon, circulator, and materials lead alongside a full pick list, the linked preference card, and a running activity log.

Pick/pack/return kanban (Pull Board). Five lanes—To Pull, Picking, Packed, In Room, Returned—track every item on every case cart this week. Tap the advance button on any card to move it forward. The board updates instantly across the team.

Supply catalog with stock and expiry visibility. Every item in the catalog shows current stock versus par level, lot number, expiry date, and storage location. Filters narrow by category, stock status (In Stock / Low / Critical / Out of Stock), and expiry status. Open shortages appear in a red alert queue at the top of the catalog.

Surgeon preference cards. One card per surgeon per procedure captures glove size and type, patient positioning, special equipment, and item preferences with quantities. Cards carry a review status—Current, Due for Review, or Overdue—and can be edited inline with a single tap. A warning banner surfaces cards that need attention before the next case.

Add and edit flows. Full forms for creating and editing cases and supply items, with sectioned fields, dropdown lookups against real staff and location data, and clear success and error states.

Included AI action: Suggest pull list

Inside each case detail page, on the Suggest pull list tab, materials leads can tap the "Suggest pull list" button to generate a draft pick list for that case.

The action reads the non-clinical procedure name, the assigned room, the surgeon's preference card items and quantities, and any picks already recorded on the case. It sends that context to an AI model and returns a categorized pull list with item names, quantities, and [VERIFY] flags on any items the model is uncertain about—so a human always makes the final call before picking begins.

This is a supply logistics aid only. It does not make clinical recommendations, reference patient data, or suggest dosing or treatment guidance of any kind. Its sole purpose is to reduce the time a materials lead spends manually cross-referencing a preference card and building a list from scratch.

The "Suggest pull list" button is found on the case detail page under the Suggest pull list tab, available for any scheduled case with a linked preference card.

If your Glide organization's AI credits are exhausted, the button returns a clear message directing you to the Glide dashboard where you can purchase additional credits or upgrade your plan.

Who this is for

OR coordinators, supply technicians, materials leads, and charge nurses at hospitals and surgical centers who need a shared, real-time view of case readiness without building it in a spreadsheet.

This app stores no patient identifiers, diagnoses, clinical notes, or treatment guidance. It is an operational logistics tool only.
