What's included

Dashboard

A live overview of everything that matters: total SKUs, total stock value, low-stock and out-of-stock counts, open purchase orders, and 30-day transaction volume. Stock is broken down by category and by location so you can spot imbalances at a glance. The built-in AI Reorder Plan panel sits here for immediate access.

Item Catalog

Browse all SKUs in a searchable, filterable card or table layout. Filter by category, supplier, and stock status (in stock / low stock / out of stock). Each card shows on-hand quantity colour-coded by health (green / amber / red), unit cost, selling price, and margin.

Item Detail

Full record for each SKU: SKU code, barcode, category, supplier, cost/price/margin, reorder point and quantity, lead time, and a stock-level progress bar. Four tabs show stock broken down by location, full transaction history, purchase order history, and cycle count history. An AI reorder recommendation appears automatically for any low-stock or out-of-stock item.

Stock In / Out

Mobile-friendly transaction flow for five movement types: Receive, Issue, Adjust, Transfer, and Return. Pick the item, choose source and destination locations, enter the quantity, select a reason code, and add an optional reference number and note. Stock levels update immediately and the transaction is logged.

Purchase Orders

Create and manage purchase orders from draft through to full receipt. Each PO has a supplier, expected delivery date, line items with quantities and unit costs, and a receiving progress indicator. Open a PO to receive individual line items into a specific location — stock updates and a transaction is logged automatically.

Reorder Queue

A calculated list of every item below its reorder point, ranked by urgency (Critical → High → Medium). Shows on-hand quantity, reorder point, suggested order quantity, and estimated cost. Select individual items or run the plan across all items. One button creates draft purchase orders grouped by supplier.

Counts & Adjustments

Organise physical counts into named campaigns tied to a location. Each campaign lists items with expected quantities. Count staff enter the actual count on a mobile card; variances are calculated automatically and stock is adjusted when the count is submitted.

Suppliers

A directory of all suppliers with contact details, lead times, minimum order amounts, reliability ratings, active SKU counts, open PO counts, and open PO value. Expand any supplier card to see notes, contact links, and performance numbers at a glance.

Admin

Create and edit items, categories, and locations. Browse the supplier reference table. The item form captures SKU, barcode, category, supplier, unit, cost, price, reorder point, reorder quantity, and lead time.

Getting started

The template arrives with realistic sample data — 50+ SKUs across Office Supplies, Packaging, Tools, Spare Parts, Retail Products, Consumables, Electronics, and Furniture; 8 suppliers; 8 locations; and seeded purchase orders and cycle counts. Use this data to explore every screen before replacing it with your own.

To start with your own data:

1. Go to Admin → Items and add your SKUs, or update the sample ones.
2. Update Admin → Categories and Admin → Locations to match your real locations.
3. Add your suppliers via the Suppliers page.
4. Use Stock In / Out → Receive to bring your opening stock quantities on hand.

AI Reorder Plan

The Draft Reorder Plan action is available in three places:

• Dashboard — generates a plan across all low-stock and out-of-stock items
• Reorder Queue — generates a plan for selected items (or all items if none are selected), with optional budget and priority note inputs
• Item Detail — generates a focused recommendation for that single item when it is below its reorder point

What the AI analyses: current stock levels, reorder points, 30-day transaction velocity (how fast each item moves), quantities already on order in open purchase orders, preferred supplier and lead time, suggested reorder quantity, and estimated cost.

What it returns: a structured plan in five parts — an executive summary of the situation and urgency, recommended actions per item grouped by urgency (Critical → High → Medium) with final recommended quantities adjusted for stock already on order, supplier consolidation tips for hitting minimum order amounts, risk callouts for items that could cause operational disruption, and a budget summary with trade-off notes if a budget was provided.

Copy and regenerate: once a plan is generated you can copy it to the clipboard or regenerate with a single button. The plan renders inline with formatted headings, bullet points, and bold emphasis for easy scanning.

Out of AI credits: if the organisation's AI credits are exhausted the panel shows a clear message — "This app is out of AI credits. Buy extra credits or upgrade your plan in the Glide dashboard to continue." — with no broken states or empty outputs.
