The problem it solves
Running a golf club means juggling a dozen moving parts at once. Tee times need pace monitoring. Members expect a personalized experience. Tournaments require coordination across departments. The pro shop needs to know what is low in stock. The grounds crew is waiting on a work order. And the next shift is coming on in twenty minutes.
Most clubs manage all of this across a patchwork of spreadsheets, printed sheets, and text threads. CourseOS replaces that patchwork with a single, calm command center that every team member can open on any device.
What is included
Club HQ — Command Center
The home screen surfaces what matters right now: a live hero view of the course, four July KPIs (rounds played, tee-sheet fill percentage, pro-shop sales, and open work orders with month-over-month deltas), an annotated pace-of-play visualization showing every group on the course in real time, pinned shift-handoff notes from the team, and a quick-action list of open work orders. It is the first screen staff open in the morning and the last they check before handoff.
Tee Sheet & Starter
A live tee-time board showing every group for the selected day. Each card shows the tee time, starting hole, cart status, check-in status, player photos and names, and any starter notes. The starter can flag a group for pace review with one tap and clear the flag once the group catches up. Summary counts at the top of the screen show total rounds, checked-in groups, and active pace flags at a glance.
Members & Players
A searchable, filterable directory of all active members, organized by tier (Platinum, Gold, Standard). Each card shows the member photo, name, tier badge, handicap index, and account balance. Tapping a member opens their full profile with contact information, preferences, notes, a handicap tracker, and their complete tournament history. Staff can edit any profile field directly in the app.
Tournaments & Events
A full calendar of the club's events, split into upcoming and completed sections. Each event card shows the photoreal event image, format, registration count versus capacity, and entry fee. The detail screen includes a registration fill bar, a registered-players list linking to member profiles, and two tools: an AI-assisted member announcement (see below) and a description field staff can update at any time.
Pro Shop
An inventory view of every product across all categories — Accessories, Apparel, Bags, Balls, Clubs, Electronics, and Footwear. Summary cards show total inventory value, SKU count, and the number of items below their reorder point. A category chip filter lets staff zero in on one category. Each product card shows the item image, name, SKU, stock level, low-stock or out-of-stock badge, and price. Staff can tap Edit on any product to update the price, quantity on hand, reorder point, and vendor in a dialog without leaving the page. Recent sales from inventory movements surface automatically at the top of the screen.
Course Care
A maintenance work-order board showing every open, in-progress, and completed order. Summary cards highlight high-priority issues and in-progress jobs. A status chip filter lets crew leads isolate what they need to act on. Each card shows the title, area, category, priority dot, status badge, description, and date opened. Tapping a work order opens the detail screen where staff can update the status (Open → In Progress → Completed), read and add notes in a threaded log, and run an AI summary (see below).
Staff Hub
A two-part screen: the team directory and the shift handoff board. The directory shows every active staff member with their photo, role, department, and shift. Tapping a staff member opens their profile and recent handoff history. The handoff board groups all recent handoff notes by date and highlights pinned entries with a colored border. Staff can post a new handoff note — selecting the date, shift, role tag, and body — directly from a dialog on this screen.
AI features
CourseOS includes two built-in AI actions powered by the Glide AI system. Both run server-side and require the project to have available AI credits.
Draft Member Update — Tournament detail screen
Found on any tournament or event detail screen, this action generates a ready-to-review member communications email. It takes the event name, date, format, entry fee, registered player count, player names, and event description as input, and returns a warm, professional announcement suitable for sending directly to registered members. The draft is saved to the tournament record so it persists across sessions and can be regenerated with updated information at any time. A copy-to-clipboard button makes it easy to move the draft into your email platform.
If the project has run out of AI credits, the action displays a clear message explaining the situation and directs staff to either buy additional credits or upgrade the plan in the Glide dashboard. The action does not silently fail or freeze.
Summarize Work Order — Work-order detail screen
Found on any work-order detail screen, this action reads the work-order title, area, category, priority, status, description, and the full threaded note history, and returns a concise handoff summary covering the current state, key issues identified, recommended next actions, and any safety concerns. The summary is saved to the work-order record and persists until a staff member regenerates it with fresher information.
As with the member update draft, if AI credits are exhausted the action shows a plain-language message directing staff to buy credits or upgrade in the Glide dashboard. The summary button and loading state are always visible, and the interface never hangs or shows a blank error.
Who it is for
CourseOS is designed for private and semi-private golf clubs with an operations team of two or more people. It works best when a general manager or director of golf is responsible for daily operations, a starter or marshal is on the course, a pro-shop associate handles retail, and a superintendent or crew lead manages course conditions. All of them can use the same app simultaneously on phones, tablets, or desktop browsers, and they all see live data from the same underlying database.
