Data triggers and 17 smaller improvements and fixes.

Data triggers start workflows when your data changes

Workflows can now start as soon as a row is added, updated, or deleted in one of your tables, instead of waiting for a scheduled check. Any change made through Glide counts: in your app, in the Data tab, by the Glide agent or your own agent over MCP, or by another workflow. For example, you could ask the agent to email the customer when an order is marked shipped, or to alert your team when stock runs low. Changes from tools connected straight to your database, like your own scripts, don't start a workflow.

Improvements

  • A public app can now let visitors sign in if they want to, while everyone else browses without an account. Ask the agent for a sign-in button on your public app and it sets this up, or choose "Anyone can open - sign in optional" in the Share panel.
  • The button at the top of your project now shows what's live: "Publish" before your first publish, "Publish changes" when you have changes that aren't live yet, and "Share" when everything is live.
  • People opening your published app now see redesigned sign-in screens that show your app's icon and name, with Google, Microsoft, and email options.
  • The first time you publish an app, Glide now shows a QR code and the steps for adding it to your phone's home screen. To see it again, select "Open on phone" in the Share panel.
  • You can now add a sheet or a column in the Data tab without asking the agent. Select the "+" at the end of the sheet tabs or after the last column.
  • You can now upload your own profile photo in Settings, under Profile.
  • Apps can now show the signed-in person's profile photo instead of their initials. For an existing app, ask the agent to add it.
  • Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and choose "Switch to dark theme" or "Switch to light theme" at the bottom of the list. It shows before you start typing.
  • The Audit log now also records access changes: people added to or removed from a project or workspace, role changes, and changes to who can open an app.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where an updated workflow could keep running its previous version. If an update doesn't go through, the agent now tells you to deploy again instead of saying the workflow is off.
  • To start a workflow from a Stripe event, the agent now gives you a webhook to add in your Stripe Dashboard.
  • Fixed published apps reloading every few seconds on networks that block live updates, which sent visitors back to the first screen and lost what they'd typed.
  • Scheduled workflows now try again after a brief error in Glide, so they skip far fewer runs.
  • If you're a Viewer in your workspace but have Editor or Full access on a project, the agent can now make changes in that project's chat.
  • Long forms that open in a pop-up sheet now scroll on phones, so the Save button stays within reach. New apps include this; for an existing app, ask the agent to fix it.
  • When you start from an uploaded spreadsheet, it now stays open after the agent creates your project, instead of disappearing.
  • In Settings, under Usage, app opens now count real visits only, so some apps will show fewer opens than before.
  • Numerous performance, security, and agent improvements behind the scenes.
