Localization

How your projects appear in other languages.

Meet the new Glide Apps

Glide Pages are now Glide Apps. Please refer to this article for up-to-date information, as some of this documentation is outdated.

With traditional app development, localizing your app takes a considerable amount of effort. Luckily, Glide makes this process automatic, so you don't have to worry about translating all the elements within your app.

A note on localization

Bear in mind that localization only applies to the interface. It means that only the app 'chrome' is automatically translated, and it doesn't affect the actual content or data of your app.

Examples

In the first example below, you can see that only the search bar placeholder text is translated, whilst the rest of the content remains the same.
