Organizations and Members
View and manage your organization’s members and roles
An organization is your team in GlideOS. Your plan determines how many team members your organization can have. An organization’s projects, apps, and data are visible to all team members. What members can do within an organization depends on their role.
If you belong to multiple organizations, you can click your organization name in the top left of the sidebar to see a dropdown list of the organizations you belong to. Click any organization to switch to it.
Member Roles
Managing Members
To see the members in your organization, go to Settings and select Members. From there you can:
- See all current members and their roles
- Search for a specific member
- See whether your organization has reached its member limit
From here you can also invite members to the organization.
Inviting new members
When you create an organization, GlideOS prompts you to add your team members. You can also add members later at any time. Only admins can invite new members.
To invite new members, click the Invite button from the home screen or the Members or Invites section of Settings. Add the email addresses of the team members you want to invite. Select a role and click Invite.
Inviting multiple members with the same role
Members in the same invite batch receive the same role. To assign different roles to different members, invite each group separately.
Invites expire after 7 days. To resend an invite email before it expires, click the resend button. After an invite expires, you can invite the member again.
Managing existing members
Admins can change a member’s role or remove them from the organization at any time from the Members screen.
Change a member’s role
Click the three-dot menu next to the member’s name in the list, then select the new role to assign.
Remove a member
Click the three-dot menu next to the member’s name in the list. Select Remove member. On the confirmation screen, click Remove to confirm.
Removing a member does not delete their account.
Removing a member from your organization does not delete their GlideOS account. If you remove a member by accident or need to re-invite a member to your organization, you can follow the steps above to invite them again.
Team Credits
Credits are shared across your organization. Each team member added to your organization contributes credits to the organization’s total allowance. Credits are pooled, not assigned per person.
Members can belong to more than one organization using the same email address. Credits do not transfer between organizations.

Team Members vs. App Users
There are two types of people in GlideOS: team members and app users.
Team members are the people inside your organization. They’re billed to your plan, and each team member adds credits to your organization’s shared credit allowance. Team members can perform tasks in GlideOS based on their role.
Invite someone as a team member if they need to build, edit, or view your organization’s apps and data before they are published.
App users are people who access your published apps. They don’t have access to the builder, your data, or any organization settings.
If someone only needs to use an app, not build or manage it, invite them through your published app, not through your organization settings.
Examples of app users:
- Customers or clients using a portal.
- Employees or contractors who only need to use the app to do their jobs (such as field technicians or warehouse staff).
