# Discord

> Send messages to your Discord server.

[Discord](https://discord.com/) is an instant messaging and voice call platform similar to [Slack](/docs/automation/integrations/slack) or [Microsoft Teams](/docs/automation/integrations/microsoft-teams). With the Discord integration, you can send messages to channels in your Discord server from a Glide app.

## Features

### Send message to channel

#### Discord - Arcade 2

The **Send message to channel** action can send a message to your Discord server. To use it, a Channel ID for the Discord channel where the message should be sent is required. You will also need to include message text, which you can enter manually as a custom value or pull from a column in your data.

> [See Discord's guide about IDs here](https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/206346498-Where-can-I-find-my-User-Server-Message-ID-)

The action can be added to a [Component](/docs/essentials/components) that supports [Actions](/docs/automation/actions) (e.g., a [Button component](/docs/essentials/components/button)), added to a workflow in the [Workflow Editor](/docs/getting-started/introduction-to-workflows#the-workflow-editor), or after a [Form](/docs/use-cases/forms) is submitted.
